Last week, NHG had the honor of facilitating the Desafía Nordics immersion program in Finland, where we welcomed eight innovative companies from Spain. This program, organized by ICEX and Red.es, aims to integrate Spanish digital health startups into the vibrant Nordic ecosystems.
The week was filled with enriching experiences, insightful presentations, dynamic workshops, and valuable 1-on-1 meetings with key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors of the Finnish healthcare and startup industries. Here are some highlights and learnings:
- Deep Dive into the Finnish Health System: We kicked off with an engaging introduction that sparked lively discussions and provided a comprehensive understanding of the Finnish healthcare landscape.
- Public-Private Partnerships: We explored successful collaboration models, gaining insights into how public and private sectors can work together to drive innovation and improve healthcare outcomes.
- Networking and Collaboration: Attendees had numerous opportunities to connect with startups, partners, and industry leaders at leading health hubs, fostering meaningful interactions and potential collaborations.
- Panel Discussions and Pitch Sessions: These sessions allowed participants to present their ideas, receive valuable feedback, and engage in stimulating discussions with both public and private sector representatives.
- Key Learnings: Participants gained a deeper understanding of the unique aspects of the Finnish healthcare market, the importance of strategic partnerships, and the potential for innovation in this dynamic ecosystem.
The program also included a networking reception at the Spanish Ambassador’s Residence, providing a relaxed setting for attendees to connect, reflect on the week’s insights, and discuss future opportunities. A special thank you to the Spanish Ambassador for graciously hosting this wonderful event.
