Etelä-Savo Hospital District
The cooperation project was established in order to develop service processes and floor layouts for a centralized ER. The care process and its resources were designed together with hospital personnel based on detailed analyses of emergency demand. The cost effects of different ways of staffing and organizing the ER were evaluated. The executed project created a ground for the client’s further development work in operations management and production control, quality management in emergency services, cost accounting and supply-demand management.
